We have a wealth of local attractions, possibly too many to mention but here is a few we like along with some a bit further afield.

Llyn Vyrnwy

The stunning Lake Vyrnwy is our local treasure and only a stones throw from your dome. Walking, cycling, bacon butties & cream teas- it has all this and more.

Pistyll Rhaeadr

Pistyll Rhaeadr is an enchanting waterfall in the Berwyn Mountains, just inside Wales, west of Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

At 240ft (80m) high it is Britain's tallest single-drop waterfall, captivating all who visit her. Generation after generation take in the spirit and presence of this special place.

Powys Castle and Gardens

Powis Castle, built around 1200 as a medieval fortress, sits high on a rock above its world-famous garden. Laid out under the influence of Italian and French styles, the garden is overhung with clipped yews and shelters rare and tender plants. It retains original lead statues and features an orangery on the terraces.

Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway

Journey through beautiful Mid Wales countryside

The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway was built in 1903 to link farming communities with the market town of Welshpool and provide them with an outlet for their produce. Operated at first by the Cambrian Railways, the line was taken over by the Great Western and then British Railways.

Llangollen Wharf

A major tourist attraction and part of a World Heritage Site, Llangollen Wharf in the North Wales town of Llangollen presents beautiful scenery and the perfect day out for all the family.

National White Water Centre

The National White Water Centre offer fantastic white water adventures on natural rapids on the River Tryweryn, located in Snowdonia National Park. Set in stunning Welsh hills, the dam controlled River Tryweryn has high flows ideal for exhilarating white water activities throughout the year. The River Tryweryn is open for white water adventures any day the Llyn Celyn reservoir is releasing, offering on average 200 days a year of reliable and impressive white water.
